Caught from ground & returned to life.

Unlike other kids, he didn't has the freedom in his childhood. He couldn't go outside & played with other children. Because his parents loved their only one child too much. It was continued up to the early days of his 7th standard. In the last days of his 6th standard a new neighbour came to his place. Their children were also in his same age. That was his first frienship to play outside. While played with them he knew about the outside world.

After his upper primary level, he went to another school for his high school education. That days was the big turning point in his life, especially in his character. His character has fully changed. He was started to say lie. He was also started to cut the school & tuition classes. Because he enjoyed the freedom there and he has got connection with bad gangs. But fortunately he never used any drugs during those period and to yet.

Two years have gone. He was always in the cricket ground & never went to classes. At those period he wasn't caught for any of the cases. Because his "departure & arrival" time was in home as usual & punctual. So parents never realized the real change.

At the last days of 9th standard these all were caught by his father. All days tuition class was after the school time. One day he met the tuition teacher. Teacher said, he wasn't coming for the classes for log time. His father got very much angry. Father was started searching for him in whole place. At last he reached the cricket ground, while the boy was playing. When he saw his father there, he was started shivering. He knew his father got the information. His father was never beat him before that moment. Father came with full anger & put his hand up to beat him. By God's grace his father's friend came between them & blocked his father. Then the 'Sathan' (the bad character) in the boy's mind withdrawn & he was started crying. His father brought him to their house & he advised him in sound.

The boy thought the whole day about these things. At last he took a pledge that he would never say lie & do bad things. After that incident to till the time, that boy is keeping his word. Because now he hasn't a courage to do bag things. That boy is not a famous guy. A simple & ordinary person. His name is "Rakesh Sukumara Pillai". That is me!!

Struggle with Policemen

As mentioned in the last blog, the best time for a mystery tale has not come yet.  So here I am writing my own experience of struggle with policemen in the capital city.

During my college days, we had a trip. That was to the symbol of love(Taj Mahal, Agra), Rajput Mahals(at Jaipur) & Delhi.

After a long journey from Jaipur, we reached Delhi one morning time of August month. Due the hot climate, we all decided to go for shopping in the evening. After a deep sleep my friend Sanju & me went outside of hotel in the evening for shopping.

He came with me a belief that I could handle Hindivala( Hindi speaking people). But the truth is, he has mistaken. That means I have no idea about using Hindi. Because I studied it in my school time, not in real time. But I didn't reveal it to my friend, I walked with a great head-weight.

We haven't any idea about the city. We reached near the over-bridge road outside of Railway station. There was a police aid post & lot of policemen standing around it.

Then I thought, ask to one of them. I went near a police constable & asked, "hum log Tamil Nadu se aay hai. Hum shopping karna chahta hum. Saman bechne ka sthal kaham hai?"   Then he looked at me thoroughly. He asked, "thumhara pass kya hai bechne ke liye?".  I said, "hum saman bechna chahtha hai, vaham kaise jayega?" Then he got angry and said "kya hai thumhara pass? Kisne bhej diya yaham?"   I replied the same again. Then he shouted something ( I don't know what was it. Should be some bad word!!). At that time some police men surrounded us.

A sub inspector came & asked about us. I said, " hum keral ka log hai. Tamil nadu mem pad raha hum. Vaham se aaya hai. Humko saman bechna chahtha hum".  Then I saw a simple smile on his face. He told the policemen to move back. He came near to me and put his hand on my shoulder. Then I have felt a fire in my abdomen. I didn't have any idea, what he would do. I afraid & my knees hit together.

But nothing happened. He said in Malayalam, "ningalku thettu patti. Vanguka ennullathu kharidhna ennum, vilkuka ennullathu bechana ennum parayanam. ( You have mistaken. Use kharidhna for buy & use bechna for sell). Then I got understand, what was my mistake. I said sorry to him. He believed us & told the route to reach the Karol bagh( main shopping area in Delhi). We said thanks & left the place.

While moving to metro railway station, we said nothing. After reached there, we started laugh very loudly. The mistake was simple. Used sell instead of buy!!

SIgnature of my own

Inspired by Sherlock Holmes's and Agatha Christie's, I too have planned to write some mystery tales. But I don’t think it’s the best time now. So I am planning to go through history (not a big matter, its my past). Unlike others, I started my primary level in a Malayalam medium school where I was logged onto upto SSLC.

I would like to say with utmost humility that I have not a nursery certificate(I didn't complete that course)!. I was directly admitted to class 1, for that was the school where my father was working. During those days we used slate & pencil instead of notebooks in 1st and 2nd standards. There were textbooks to read though..

Once in my 1st standard, our Malayalam teacher was teaching us words. Unfortunately, in the textbook the first word was "thara" (meaning is floor, but as a slang Malayalam the word represents a man of base qualities). The second letter was "pana" (palm tree). During the class all students were shouting. Teacher got angry and stopped teaching. She scolded all of us. Then she asked us all to write our names on our slates. Due to my laziness, I didn't hear her properly. I thought she had asked to write what she had taught us.

So I wrote "thara" on my slate instead of my name. She checked all the slates. When she looked into my slate, she started laughing loudly. Then she said, "I asked you to write your name and not your character." Then the whole class started laughing with her. After a moment I too laughed heartily at the joke.
